My Goals with this Blog

My goal in starting this blog is to help all the frustrated families who:

- buy way too many color samples in order to figure out the best color for their space

- invest in gallons of paint only to be completely surprised that the color did not end up looking anywhere close to the way they thought it was 'supposed' to

- cannot find the best color combination for their spaces

- are interested in faux finishing

- and anything else related to color and paint!

I am an artist who has worked in a couple of different house paint stores in her lifetime and this is what I enjoy doing most at work, but I know there are tons more frustrated people out there.
I currently work weekends at Thybony Paint in Chicago, and I am the only girl working amongst a hilarious but awesome crew of guys. On the weekdays I work in my studio painting. So I spend a ton of time analyzing color and I understand the relationships and changes colors appear to go through and have saved a bunch of people who have found me many days, weeks, months of frustration.

I look forward to helping you! NO really, its genuine! :)

  1. hi Jessica, I'm here to vouch.
I know for a fact that Jessica Joy is genuine when she says she wants to help with your color and design schemes. It's her super power. She's a "Color Schemestress”. People walk out of the store more excited about their color choices after talking with Jessica. Hope she’s paid well enough.
I encourage all that are decorating their homes to come in on the weekend and tell Jessica about your ideas. She can help.

: But let’s not forget the "hilarious and awesome" (helpful) crew! You can’t go wrong.
